SCHOOL BOARD TO TAKE LOT.


Independence Gift is Judge Chrisman's $15,000 Home.

The Independence school board has decided to accept the gift of a lot on West Maple avenue, Independence, for school purposes. The lot is valued at $15,000 and is the home place of Judge Chrisman, who expects to move away.

The school board also fixed the salary of Superintendent Palmer at $2,400 yearly and that of high school principal, E. F. Street, at $1,500. Emil Helf was chosen as president of the school board and Fred Bergschneider as treasurer, with John Davis as clerk.
