STATE MAKES HER AN ORPHAN.
"I've No Father," Says This Girl --
"He's in Texas."
A little girl was before Judge McCune of the juvenile court yesterday. She was there as a neglected child and she looked forlorn enough.
"Are either of your parents here?" asked Judge McCune.
"No, sir," replied the girl, timidly, "I'm an orphan."
"Haven't any father, either?"
"No sir," went on the child, "he's in Texas."
